INIT.TXT FILES!?!?!?!

PLEASE HELP!

i have no idea what an init.txt file is. I know that you can use it to make starting adedi easier because it automatically enters the maps, name n stuff in, but i dont know how to write one! please help me!


Also, how do i install the Haloded_1_03.exe update and get it to work? The autoban stuff isnt working, so i guess its not properly installed.

for one, this isn't the topic to talk about Drak, 2. you have not helped Rogue at all, so i will. an init.txt file is what u are thinking about Rogue, it lets to set the server so whenever you start it, you have already placed all the maps you want and gametypes to go with that map. therefore you start HaloDed and the server runs by itself without typing any crap that ron has to do. INIT.txt is the name haloded uses to recognize where u want your maps and gametypes, so in the same folder put all your stuff. Like my folder is called DS (dedicated server) and in that folder i have all this stuff. I have the HaloDed.exe to start it, i have strings.dll (required to start it) i have my init.txt file, and i have the halo_DS_1_02 (setup) ok so maybe your wondering how to setup the init.txt file. Ill copy\past it here. Note that you DO need the quotes in the places i have them. if your wonder sv_public 1 means that u can see it, and sv_timeout 10 is the time before it goes on to the next map, at the carnage report screen.

you can add different maps\ gametypes than i have, but this is what mine looks like. also, if u dont want the server to have a password then dont put anything in the quotes, so it should be "".
